1.  Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, along with the leaders of Singapore, Bangladesh, Italy, the United States, Brazil, Argentina, Mauritius, and the United Arab Emirates, established the Global Biofuel Alliance on the sidelines of the G20 Summit in New Delhi on September 9, 2023.

2. The Global Biofuel Alliance (GBA) is a G20 effort led by India. The Alliance aspires to accelerate global biofuel adoption by promoting technological developments, increasing the use of sustainable biofuels, and developing rigorous standard setting and certification with the cooperation of a diverse range of stakeholders. The partnership will also serve as a knowledge library and an expert hub. GBA’s mission is to act as a catalyst for global collaboration in the advancement and widespread acceptance of biofuels.
